Centenary Tour of Canada 2003

Engraving the Strathcona Cup

This site is dedicated to the Centenary Curling Tour of Canada in January 2003. The 56 members of the party toured Canada from 8th to 31st January 2003, split into two groups, East and West. The East tour started in Halifax and moved westward day by day, ending up in Toronto. The West tour started in Winnipeg and also ended up in Toronto. The entire tour comprised of 412 games (i.e., over 1600 Canadian curlers played against the tourists), and all of the games counted towards the ultimate prize - the Strathcona Cup. The final result was that Scotland regained the trophy, winning by 108 shots.
