Ian Simpson
(Dunfermline Curling Club)
Born in Dunfermline on the 24th December 1942 and married to Sheena with two children, David and Lorraine, and two grandchildren, Emma and Kayleigh.
Recently retired from the family watchmaker and jewellery business.
Introduced to curling by my father in 1968 and joined Dunfermline Curling Club in 1970. Have served on various committees and I am a Past President
of Dunfermline Curling Club and still enjoy the game as much today as I did in the early seasons.
During the summer months I have a passion for fly-fishing for trout and salmon as well as play golf (badly) at Dunfermline Golf Club.

Ian McLaren

Born 1949 in Dundee and educated at Morrison's Academy, Crieff, before studying Agriculture at Edinburgh University from 1977 to 1979. Ian is a
farmer specialising in potatoes, carrots, broccoli and cereals.
Married to Heather who is also a keen curler, who toured the U.S.A. in 2001 and we have three sons John, Michael and Peter who work in the family
business.
I enjoy curling and I am Chairman of Dewars Centre, the curling and bowling stadium in Perth.

I was born in 1947 and was educated at George Watson’s College, Edinburgh. I live in Edinburgh with my wife Alyson, a non-curler, whom I met while
at Aberdeen University. After graduating I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and since 1999 have been Financial Controller with Hamilton & Inches Ltd. who are Scotland’s leading jewellers
and silversmiths. Prior to that I spent 18 years in the motor trade as a Company Secretary and Finance Director.
I have two grown up sons, Graham and Nigel, who are both keen curlers. I am a member of Watsonian Curling Club, Edinburgh Curling Club and
Gogar Park Curling Club and am a past president of both Watsonian C.C. and Edinburgh C.C. I have curled for 38 years and played against the Canadians on their last tour to Scotland.
My summertime activities include bowling, cycling, walking and travelling.
