Colin Baxter

(Corstorphine Curling Club)

Colin Baxter was born on 8 October 1953 and was educated at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh. 

He farms the family farm, Causewood, just outside Edinburgh.

He started curling in the old Haymarket Curling rink in 1961, playing with his father, Bobby and brother Iain – both former Canadian tourists.  His Mother Club is Corstorphine CC and he is also a member of Watsonians CC

He won the Scottish National Schools Championships in 1969 and 1970, then the Scottish Championship in 1971, going on to come runner-up to Don Duguid’s famous Canadian Rink in the Silver Broom.  He won the Scottish Championship again in 1978, coming 5th in the Winnipeg Silver Broom that year.  He and his brother Iain also won the National Pairs Championships twice.

Frank Forrest

(Ayton Castle Curling Club)

Married to Roberta-Ann with two girls, Jennifer and Lorna.  I farmed for the last 30 years and I am currently an Agricultural Contractor.

I have curled for Ayton Castle Curling Club for the last 18 years and recently taken up golf at the Hirsel Golf Club.

David Arkley

(Abercorn Curling Club)

Brought up on family farm Kingsfield, Linlithgow.  Attended Auchincruive College, Ayr 79-81.  Started working Dalmeny Estate, Lord Rosebery 1982 where I am now Assistant Farm Manager.

Parents curled so have curled from an early age. Competitive at curling club level. President of Abercorn Curling Club last 5 years.

Interests outwith curling – I have a small flock of pedigree Texel sheep and enjoy Shows and Sales which take up most of my spare time. Bachelor.

Crawford Edie

(Balcaskie Curling Club)

Born into a farming family in the East Neuk of Fife – one of four boys. Educated at Waid Academy, Anstruther and the East of Scotland College of Agriculture. Presently farming near Crail.

Married for 37 years to Ada and have three daughters- Fiona now farming with her husband and young son in Manitoba, Linda married with two boys in Orkney and Sandra works at the Royal Highland Centre.

A fourth generation curler and member of Balcaskie Curling Club since 1960, I am currently President of East Fife Province.

Golf is another of my pursuits – a member of Crail Golfing Society serving on the Management Committee as Greens Convenor.
